The new division of PDS will operate under the leadership of The Radius Group founder Damian Hopkins (pictured left), as CEO, and be based in London, but will draw on its parent company’s network of 50 offices in 22 countries to deliver “brand management and development infrastructure, supply chain solutions, new market entry, licensing, and marketing to brands and retailers, with strong environmental, social and ethical values”. The sum paid for the stake was undisclosed.
The Radius Group represents brands such as Julien Macdonald, Elizabeth Emanuel Wolsey (menswear), Nicole Farhi and Fenn Wright & Manson.
Hopkins said: “Working within the PDS infrastructure gives us the opportunity to extend our services to complete brand management and brand development, as well as look to acquire brands that we can help accelerate growth worldwide.
“PDS is a unique business that caters to some of the biggest brands and retailers all over the world, and this new venture will further enhance that service and enable us to grow into new markets with new partners.”
Pallak Seth, vice-chairman of PDS, (pictured right) said: “[Hopkins’] reputation and expertise for launching, repositioning, and transforming brands combined with our global design and supply platform will enable us to become a market leader. [He] has first-hand experience across manufacturing, sourcing, retail, licensing and franchising worldwide and we are all excited to collaborate on this new venture.”
